Carrier Fence ("we", "us", "our") provides Do Not Call (DNC) and honeypot number scrubbing services to help businesses screen phone lists before outbound calling. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using carrierfence.com or our API, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, and password (stored securely hashed, never in plain text) when you sign up. Phone number is optional and only collected if you choose to provide it.
• Uploaded contact lists: when you upload a CSV or XLSX file to scrub, we process the phone numbers in it against our DNC and honeypot data.
• Billing information: when you purchase coins, payment is processed by our payment provider — we do not receive or store your raw card details. We keep a record of the purchase amount, package, and status.
• Usage data: scrub job history (filenames, counts, timestamps), support ticket content, and basic technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the scrubbing service you request and maintain your account and coin balance
• Send account-related emails (email verification, support responses)
• Process payments and maintain purchase records
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms and Conditions
• Improve the reliability and accuracy of our service

We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded contact lists to third parties.

4. Uploaded Phone Number Lists

Lists you upload for scrubbing are used solely to generate your scrub results and are not added to our DNC or honeypot databases, resold, or shared with any third party. Uploaded files and generated reports are retained only as long as needed to let you download your results, and are periodically cleaned up thereafter.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the service:

• An email delivery provider — sends account verification and support-related emails on our behalf.
• A payment processor — processes coin purchases; they handle your payment details directly, we never see or store your full card number.
• Our hosting infrastructure provider, which stores the application and database securely.

Each of these providers only receives the information necessary to perform their function.

6. Data Security

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. All traffic to carrierfence.com is encrypted via HTTPS. Access to production systems is restricted, and we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete it, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g. transaction records) for legal or accounting purposes.
